World Health Organization Issues Concern Over Acute Lack of Obesity Medications

Under a tenth of people that would benefit from GLP-1 drugs such as Wegovy can access them, caution the WHO as it issues its first guidance on the medications.

Exclusive production rights on the active ingredient – the main ingredient of the drug Wegovy – is due to expire in multiple nations in 2026.
